We’re working hard with Uber’s driver partners to have as many cars on the road this weekend as possible, but the madness of NATO may cause higher ETAs than usual. Here’s a few tips to navigate the weekend smoothly with Uber: 

• Request early and check back often if a car isn’t readily available
• Be flexible with your route - many streets are blocked off this weekend, so drivers may need to take alternative routes. We’ve educated drivers already, but if reading detailed Secret Service road closure plans are your thing, we’ve got your Friday afternoon reading here
• Test out a TAXI - no Uber within your ETA happy place? Take the opportunity to test out our first Uber Garage offering - Chicago TAXIs. Just select the TAXI button in the top of your app.

Even if you’ve got your protest pants on this weekend, there’s really no reason to stop using Uber. Plus, our drivers are really good at dodging protesting clowns and getting you to your destination safely, and efficiently. Don’t protest UBER!

Bill Rancic - White Whale of the Week

Bill Rancic is best known as Donald Trump’s first ‘Apprentice’, the husband of the beautiful Giuliana Rancic, and as a partner in the new Chicago restaurant RPM.

This man’s man seems to have done it all, but there is still one thing he hasn’t done: requested and rode in an Uber!

We’ve heard through Twitter-sphere that Bill is running around Chicago this week, so that’s why we’ve decided to call this Bill Rancic Week. If anyone can tame the beast, and get Wild Bill to sign up and request an Uber, we’ll give you $250 of Uber Credits!
